What to consider when opening up or moving to a new facility

Moving a phone system involves a number of considerations. 

If the new location is under construction and there's no existing cabling. Request a walk-through with your vendor to review a floor plan to determine the locations of where you will need computers, printers, phones, fax machines and etc.

Here are just a few tips on what to consider before relocating your business to a new facility

 A floor plan is helpful for reviewing the cable infrastructure requirements.Even if they are hand-drawn.

 Review your contract with your existing phone and Internet provider. This could be the perfect opportunity to negotiate a better deal or get bids from other carriers.

 Consider keeping downtime to a minimum. Typically we relocate customer's phone systems in the morning, two hours prior to start of business. Also, consider a minimum of an hour of staff training if you're putting in new phone system.

 It's best to hire an experience contractor regardless of the size of your company.
